Please note, while we’re glad to offer these statistics on what’s happening in Mahtomedi, we want to point out this is a very small sample size. That means if just a couple of houses on the market longer because they’ve been mispriced, or are in bad condition, it will affect the statistics for the entire city. In larger suburbs if there are a few outliers, it doesn’t make the numbers swing nearly as much. We encourage you to see the statistics of other communties in Washington County near you to compare.
What this means for you if you’re selling your home:
It’s a very good time to sell your home if you live in Mahtomedi!
- Homes have been staying on the market roughly a 12% shorter length of time as 2015, and have a 7% higher sales price. As noted above, this number can be skewed by one or two high priced homes.
- In addition, the number of new listings has dropped over the last year as well. Again, this is a very small sample size which can be misrepresentation of the market.
- If you have the opportunity to get in the market now, it would be advantageous for you to do so!
