Since 2003 helping older adults moveHow I help
How does a real estate agent help seniors downsize?
I plan the move around your timeline and your next home, then price, prepare and sell the house you have now. It's not just about the house. Less to clean and maintain sounds good. It's going through all the stuff, the family, and the money questions that feel hard. I handle the real estate and help you think through the logistics around it.
- Downsizing to a smaller home
- Moving to senior living or a senior cooperative
- Selling a home you've lived in for decades
- Moving quickly after a health crisis
- Deciding together, on your own timeline, instead of leaving it to your kids later
“I have used Lisa Dunn with The Change Agents in both my personal and professional lives, and have never been disappointed. She is at once kind, caring, and knowledgeable. I recommend in the strongest possible way!”Craig Goldman

Meet Lisa
Who is Lisa Dunn, SRES®, CSA®, CSREC?
I'm Lisa Dunn, and I've helped older adults and their families in the Twin Cities with later-life moves since 2003. I'm with RE/MAX Results in Edina and I'm not affiliated with any other brokerage. I'm a RE/MAX Hall of Fame member, an SRES® instructor and one of six instructors for a University of Minnesota OLLI course.
Before real estate, I worked as a health care consultant. That gave me an inside look at the maze of senior services, and it still shapes how I work: calm, patient, and one step at a time.
Some of my clients are downsizing. Some are moving to senior living. Some are selling a home they've lived in for decades, and some are moving because of a health crisis. My role might be explaining options, being a resource and an advocate, or representing you in negotiations.
Adult children are welcome in the conversation, and the homeowner always stays the decision-maker. It's not just about the house.

Questions
Common questions about senior real estate in the Twin Cities
Can you help sell my parent's house when they move to senior living?
Yes. Helping a parent is one of the most common reasons families call. I handle the timing, pricing and selling, and adult children are welcome in the conversation. See selling a parent's home.
What does it cost to work with you?
The first 30-minute call is free, with no pressure and nothing to sign. Real estate commissions are negotiable, and we agree on them in writing before your home is listed, so you know the numbers up front.
When is the right time to sell and move?
It depends on your health, your home and your plans. Many people find it easier to plan before they have to. The Stay, Modify or Move scorecard can help you think it through.
Do you work with senior cooperatives (55+ co-ops)?
Yes. I help older adults buy and sell senior co-op shares and line up the sale of their current home. See senior co-ops and the co-op vs. condo guide.
How do I choose a realtor for seniors?
Ask about experience with older clients, credentials like SRES®, how they'd price and prepare your home, and how they'll involve your family. My checklist lists the questions to ask.
Can my adult children join the call?
Yes. Adult children are welcome in the conversation, by phone or video from wherever they live. The homeowner always stays the decision-maker.
